Get ready to draw and paint the "Sleeping Giant" Wilderness formation (part of which is formally designated Beartooth Mountain), is a historic natural landmark that was well-known to Native Americans in the United States.

Members of Native American tribes as far away as present-day Minnesota knew of the landmark, and told the leaders of the Lewis and Clark Expedition about it inspiring the group to camp below the Sleeping Giant and explore the area around it during their initial passage through the region in 1805.

Sunday Painter will meet just off the I-15 not far from Helena, MT to paint together as a group. More details to follow.
