CUPID'S VALENTINE'S DAY PAINT-OUT

CUPID'S VALENTINE'S DAY PAINT-OUT

Get ready to draw and paint the mythological god of attraction. (Couples and Valentines welcome!)

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 11, 2018
1:00pm - 4:00pm
Great Falls Public Library

Meet us in the large (basement) conference room.
We invite you to join us to draw and paint Cupid this coming February 11th. Cupid is a motif in art. A person (i.e. an artist) who is shot by Cupid's arrow is filled with uncontrollable desire.

Valentine's Day was first associated with romantic love in the 14th century when the tradition of courtly love flourished. In 18th-century England, it evolved into a day for couples to express their love for each other by presenting flowers, offering candy, and sending greeting cards (known as "valentines").

Bring your Valentine and your own art supplies to Sunday Painter. (Supplies are not provided.)

There is no charge for attending this Sunday Painter workshop although donations are appreciated and aid in continuing to put on these events.

Music will be provided for by Sunday Painter. (Please do not bring your own music or headphones.)

As with all of our Sunday Painter events, there is NO pressure, NO competition and NO instructional lecture. These art workshops are put on purely for the fun of making art individually, but together in a group setting.
