Sluice Boxes State Park Summer Paint Out - Plein Air Event

Get ready to Draw and Paint the Sluice Boxes

SUNDAY, JULY 8, 2018
1pm to 4pm
38 Evans Riceville Road
Belt, MT 59412

Get ready to draw and paint the Sluice Boxes State Park. The Sluice Boxes are located in the Belt Creek canyon. Beautiful cliffs and ledges that wind towards the town of Belt accent the scenic canyon. Ore mining helped to shape this uniquely scenic area. Although during its mining days, railroads were utilized that snaked through the mountains, the train bridges have since been removed. Hiking is encouraged during low water seasons, due to cold spring-fed water and quick changing weather. The best time to visit is mid-July through September.

Sunday Painter will meet inside the State Park to paint together as a group. More details to follow.
