Get ready to draw and paint: "The Biker" - Our model this week!

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 15, 2017 
1:00pm - 3:15pm
Great Falls Public Library (GARAGE)

Meet us at the front counter at 1pm and we'll take you back. We meet in the garage!

Please bring your own supplies to Sunday Painter workshops.  Supplies are not  provided to attendees, sorry.

Sorry, no oil paints or ink wash allowed due to library carpeting. Mediums allowed are: watercolor, acrylic, gauche, pencils, pens, charcoal. For those of you painting, please bring your own waterproof drop-cloth.

There is no charge for attending this Sunday Painter workshop. Donations are appreciated and help us continue to put on these events. Coffee and water will be provided.

There will be some warm up drawing poses, followed by one longer pose for painting.

Music will be provided for by Sunday Painter. (Please do not bring your own music or headphones.)

As with all of our Sunday Painter events, there is NO pressure, NO competition and NO instruction or lecture. These art workshops are put on purely for the fun of making art individually, but together in a group setting.

OLD Highland Calvary Cemetery Scenic Paint-Out October 8th, Great Falls, Montana

Get ready to draw and paint scenic views of OLD Highland (Calvary) Cemetery in Great Falls, MT!

SUNDAY, OCT 8, 2017: 1pm to 4pm

Sunday Painter will meet at the Old Highland Cemetery, which is south of the present day, Highland Cemetery.

There may be a funeral or people visiting loved ones. Please be respectful and keep your distance from any mourners or events taking place.

There is no charge for attending this Sunday Painter outing. Donations are appreciated and gratefully accepted to help us continue to put on these events.

Highland Cemetery is located at: 2010 33rd Ave S, Great Falls, MT. However, you will be driving straight past entrance gate AND driving south down the gravel cemetery road (as shown below).

At the fork, stay to the right & PASS the entrance of cemetery to reach Old Highland (Calvary) Cemetery.

As you turn off of 33rd Ave South, you will continue south to reach the paint out.

Note: If you haven't been to Giant Springs yet, here's where to turn off of Giant Springs Road, at the Giant Springs Trout Hatchery. Note: Signage does not list Giant Springs.

Please note the Montana Fish Wildlife Parks Map and Rules for this Location:

• Park open sunrise to sundown.
• Pets must be leashed.
• Feeding or harassing wildlife is prohibited.
• Preserve natural features. Do not remove or damage trees, topsoil, plants, geological or historical resources.
• Fires permitted in designated fire gates only.
• Fireworks prohibited
• Wading or swimming in springs prohibited.
• Discharging firearms is restricted.
• Do not litter.
• No overnight camping.

DIRECTIONS & MAP TO RAINBOW FALLS

1) From River Drive North turn North onto Giant Springs Road.
2) Follow Giant Springs Road. 
3) Pass the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center. 
4) Pass Giant Springs State Park. Pass Rainbow Bridge. 
5) Then turn left into “Rainbow Scenic Overlook”.  

Sunday Painter will meet at the "Rainbow Scenic Overlook" on Sept. 17, 2017 from 1pm - 4pm.


There is a second overlook, just past Rainbow Scenic Overlook called “Lewis & Clark Scenic Overlook." At this overlook, there is additional parking, restrooms and covered picnic table seating.

Sunday Painter will meet at the War Planes on:
SUNDAY, SEPT 10, 2017: 1pm to 4pm

Of course those who wish to arrive early or stay late are encouraged to.

There is no charge for attending this Sunday Painter outing. Donations are appreciated and gratefully accepted to help us continue to put on these events. (Suggested donation is $5 - $10 per outing.)

*Please Note: Try to use the restroom before you leave and bring bottled waters. There are NO RESTROOMS or WATER available at the Air Park itself. The nearest restrooms and refreshments are inside the airport terminal.

Directions to the "AIR PARK"

* Take 10th to exit
* Take the 15 South towards Helena
* Take the 277 exit for International Airport
* Veer Right off ramp
* Continue driving past the War Planes on your left. (No Access from this point)
* Continue past the cell phone lot (on right)
* Follow the path and veer left toward the Airport Terminal
* Continue past the Airport Terminal
* Continue past the "pay to park" and rental car lots (DO NOT PARK IN THE PAY LOT, there is FREE parking at the War Planes & Cell Phone Parking Lot)
* Follow the path to exit the airport.
* Turn Right into the “Air Park” parking lot (The War Planes will be on your right.)
