Sunday Painter is a welcoming, independent art cooperative focused on the joy of observational art. Perfect for busy adults seeking creative recreation, our drop-in sessions require no commitment. We provide the costumed model, studio space, easels, and basic materials – just bring your enthusiasm!
All skill levels are welcome. While our sessions are self-guided, friendly artists are on hand for tips and critiques if desired. Youth under 14 are welcome with an adult chaperone.

Please remember to please bring your own art supplies. Workshops are free and supplies are not provided to attendees. For those of you painting, please bring your own waterproof drop-cloth. There is no charge for attending Sunday Painter although donations are appreciated.

The Fury - Lacrosse Athletic Uniformed Figure Drawing Painting Workshop
Get ready to draw and paint The Great Falls Fury Lacrosse Players!
SUNDAY, NOV. 19, 2017

Great Falls Public Library Meet us in the large conference room;
take the elevator down 1 level to "B".
NOTE: There will be 4 Lacrosse Players (2 young ladies, 2 young men) on Sunday! Come draw & paint 4 Lacrosse models!
Lacrosse has four major versions that have different sticks, fields, rules and equipment: men's field lacrosse, women's lacrosse, box lacrosse and intercrosse. Men's lacrosse has both field (outdoor) and box (indoor) and is a contact sport and all of the players wear protective gear: helmet, gloves, shoulder pads, and elbow pads. Women's lacrosse does not allow body contact but does allow stick to stick contact. All players wear goggles while goalies wear all protective gear including helmets and pads.
Please bring your own supplies to Sunday Painter workshops. Supplies are not provided to attendees, sorry. Mediums allowed are: watercolor, acrylic, gauche, pencils, pens, charcoal. For those of you painting, please bring your own waterproof drop-cloth.

The Great Falls Lacrosse Club aka "Great Falls Fury"

Great Falls Lacrosse Club is a youth sports organization devoted to bringing the exciting sport of Lacrosse to Great Falls, MT. They have programs available for ages 8-18 in both the boys and girls side of the sport.
Please bring your own supplies to Sunday Painter workshops. Supplies are not provided to attendees, sorry. Sorry, no oil paints or ink wash allowed due to library carpeting. Get ready to draw and paint The Figure Ice Skaters!
SUNDAY, NOV. 5, 2017 1:00pm - 3:15pm (NOTE: DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME ENDS TODAY) Great Falls Public Library Meet us in the large conference room; take the elevator down 1 level to "B".
NOTE: There will be 3 Figure Ice Skaters on Sunday! All young ladies! Come draw & paint: Leann, Kendyl, and Rayna this Sunday!
Figure ice skating is a sport in which individuals, duos, or groups perform on figure skates on ice. It was included in the summer Olympics in 1908 and has been part of the Winter Olympics from 1924 to present day. Depending on the discipline, figure skating moves may include spins, jumps, moves in the field, lifts, throw jumps, death spirals and more.
Figure ice skating is also associated with performing arts or show business. Major competitions often conclude with exhibition galas, where the top skaters perform in non-competitive shows. Many skaters, both during and after their competitive careers, also skate in ice shows.
